This trip will take you to each of Uganda’s major highlights. You will track the mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable NP, trek Kibale NP for the wild chimpanzees and other rare primates, take a jungle walk through Bigodi Swamp to observe the different bird species, take a launch trip on the Kazinga Channel to observe the animals on the waterfront, visit the mating grounds of the Uganda Kob in Queen Elizabeth NP and to top it off, a late afternoon game drive through Lake Mburo NP for the Zebras, Topi and Imapalas among so many other varied fauna.

All about the Around the Pearl of Africa in Seven Days.

This trip has a little bit of everything. Visit the mating grounds of the Uganda Kob in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Sail the Kazinga Channel and catch a glimpse of Hippos and other wildlife. Watch the Chimpanzees in Kibale Forest and several other primate species. Observe silver-back mountain gorillas in the afromontane forest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Check out the mmysterious Papyrus Gonolek in Bigodi Swamp and other bird species. To top it all off, we will drive through Lake Mburo National Park in the late afternoon and scope out Impalas, Plains Zebras and Topi. Early in the morning the next day, we will take a slow game drive or walk through the park.

  • Staying in the beautiful accommodations of Nature Lodges.
  • You can choose “Lazy” camping (the tent is ready and fully equipped, showers and toilets are shared) or a room in the Lodges.
  • All accommodation is on BB basis.
  • All transport is in 4WD Toyota Hiace  window seat.
  • Visit the mountain gorillas (US$ 600 in High Season per person and US $450 per person in Low Season, not included in the price).
  • Chimp tracking in Kibale National Park (included in the price).
  • Visit to the savannah parks Queen Elizabeth National Park and Lake Mburo National Park.
  • In these parks, we will enjoy game drives, boatrides and a swamp walk.
  • See hundreds of bird species, lions, elephants, leopards, hippos, Ugandan kobs, 13 primate species, etc.

  1. Day 1 Travel to Kibale National Park

    We will pick you up in the morning and depart for the park. We will arrive at Kibale Forest Camp in the late afternoon, settle in and get some rest.

  2. Day 2 Chimp & Swamp Walk

    At 08.00 after we've had our breakfast, we will begin the walk in search of the chimps. This can take up to 4 hours. On the way, we will see lots other primates and several bird species. Later in the afternoon, we will take an exciting jungle walk through Bigodi Swamp.

  3. Day 3 Enroute to Queen Elizabeth National Park

    We will depart for Queen Elizabeth NP via Fort Portal. We will reach Bush Lodge, our accomodations around noon and then go out sailing on the Kazinga Channel for two hours where we will observe fauna on the waterfront and several different bird species.

  4. Day 4 Enroute to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

    In the morning we depart for Bwindi Impenetrable NP. The road takes us through a beautiful landscape called the “Switzerland of Africa”. We pass mountains, hills and lakes with cultivated terraces and tropical rainforest. We will rest at Gorilla Valley Lodge

  5. Day 5 Gorilla Tracking

    At 7:45 am you will be at the Offices of Bwindi Impenetrable NP for pre-briefing and at 8:30 you will start tracking Gorillas. When you find them, you are allowed to spend up to an hour with them. Tracking gorillas requires you to be physically fit.

  6. Day 6 Enroute to Lake Mburo National Park

    Early in the morning we will leave for Lake Mburo NP. It is a smaller park but it is the only one with Impalas and Zebras. There we will go on a late afternoon gamedrive.

  7. Day 7 Back to Kampala

    After an early morning gamedrive in Mburo, we shall start the journey back to Kampala. We will make a few stops on the way so you can take pictures and pick up souvenirs.
